Tremont School’s Innovative Education Model Has Significant Advantages for COVID-19 Distance Learning
In this time of “social distancing” and school closures, Tremont School has emerged as an unexpected leader in distance learning. A small, private Middle and High School located in Concord, MA, Tremont School’s focused and innovative approach to learning already offers big advantages in the classroom. Now those advantages have ensured their students’ immediate and seamless transition to successful home learning.
Tremont School offers educational advantages like an extremely low 5:1 student to teacher ratio with teachers who truly appreciate students as both learners and individuals, a flexible curriculum driven by students’ interests to inspire deep dives into passion-driven learning, a commitment to developing core learning skills or “competencies” to encourage students to take ownership of the learning process, and a smart use of technology to engage students in hands-on 21st-century learning.
“In a matter of days my kids were back in the groove of daily classes and school activities,” says a parent of a Tremont School 8th and 10th grader. “Faculty and staff were there to support students and parents every step of the way. The comfort of having that continuity and familiar routine is priceless. I wish all schools could be like Tremont School!”
